AMES was founded as a fully specialized aviation engineering company in 2004. The founder Mr. Walter Starzacher as well as the highly skilled engineering staff assures that the very unique requirements of the particular aerospace market are guiding all undertakings.
Certified according to EASA Part 21 J and EN/AS 9100, AMES Design Organisation provides various engineering services including certification, stress analysis, damage tolerance analysis, development of mechanical components and aircraft interiors.

AMES has extensive experience and expertise in design changes, test and certification of aircraft and helicopters. This experience has been gained through more than 300 successful EASA certification projects.

In 2008 AMES decided to improve the engineering package offered to leasing- and airline Customers and set up a CAMO organisation. EASA Part M approval was granted within 5 months by the Agency and AMES became the first Austrian EASA Part M approved CAMO in 2008 (Approval Reference AT.MG.510).
Currently AMES holds review privileges for:
- ATR72
- Airbus A320 family/330/340
- Boeing 737/757/767
- Embraer 145
- McDonnell Douglas MD11
- McDonnell Douglas MD82/83/88
Recommendations have been issued to, and accepted by the Authorities of Ireland, England, Greece, Italy, Austria, Spain, France, Belgium and Sweden.

AMES Production and Logistic Services GmbH - 85% of shares are held by AMES GesmbH |
Since AMES received the EASA Part 21J DOA approval in 2006, AMES customers requested complimentary material and logistic services (e.g. parts and appliances including EASA Form 1), required to perform the AMES approved engineering bulletins on the aircraft.
AMES took these customer requests very serious and set up a production Organization which has been EASA Part 21G certified since June 2009. (Approval Reference AT.21G.0015).
AMES Production and Logistic Services GmbH provide a wide range of interior and mechanical components. Integrated in an EASA Part 21 J environment, AMES PLS can guarantee shortest lead times and the highest grade of flexibility and customization available on today's market.

Due to the growing requirement of internal and external trainings to improve and expand the level of expertise in the field of Part 21 Design, Production and CAMO Services on one hand and due the regular demand of customers and different aviation partners to provide specialized consultancy and training services on the other hand, AMES established in 2011 its own Consulting and Training organisation.
AMES Cat is providing its services using the expertise gained in the different fields of the AMES Group as well as external experts from different Aviation Authorities and institutions.
