In 1987, following his incipient start as a Maintenance Engineer for the Austrian Airforce, Walter changed to the Airline industry and held various management positions at Airlines in Austria and Germany.

After 15 years in the Airline industry Walter initially founded AMES in 2002 and developed the AMES Group into the "most flexible one stop shop" in the industry.

Today, 55 highly qualified employees work at AMES, where EASA DOA/POA and Part 145 approvals are held in the AMES Group. Walter is responsible for the strategic developement, marketing and financials of the AMES Group.

With aviation beeing Daniel's core business since early 2000, he has led numerous engineering teams before initiating his career at AMES.

In 2009, Daniel co-founded the AMES PLS Part21G Organisation and simultaneously became the company's Chief Executive Officer.

Today, Daniel heads 38 highly qualified employees working at AMES DOA/POA/Part 145. Daniel is responsible for keeping the high quality standards in the organization guarantee to act as real one stop shop beyond imagination of its worldwide customer network.

In 1996 changed to the Airline Sector and held various management positions (Lauda Air, Austrian Airlines, Qatar Airways) in Legal Affairs, International Relations, Flight Operations and Technical Services including Quality Management.

After this he joined the AMES Group in 2010, Managing Director of AMES CaT since 2011 and now serving the airline and leasing industry.

Michael gained his first professional experience working in the staff section „Airline & Tourism“ at Graz Airport while studying Aviation Engineering in Graz, Austria.
Prior to joining AMES, he was working as a test engineer for cabin air systems at Airbus in Hamburg and completed his training as a reserve officer in the Austrian Armed Forces (Air Defence).

Since joining AMES in 2010, Michael has gained vast experience in various fields of the AMES Part21J & Part21G organisation. Starting as a Project Design Engineer for Interiors/Structures, Michael soon became Compliance Verification Engineerg (CVE). In the following years as a Project Manager Michael led numerous major cabin retrofit programs on various Airbus and Boeing fleet aircraft.
Today, Michael holds the position of the Director Customer Support & Sales of the AMES Group and is responsible for all sales and customer support activities of the AMES Group.

Dave joined AMES in 2013 and holds the position of Chief Operating Officer / Key Account Manager AMES Ireland. Dave brings near 30 years' experience of working in the Aviation Industry. Prior to joining AMES, Dave worked for Ryanair as a Quality Assurance Inspector and Airworthiness Review Surveyor / ARC signatory. Dave also worked for Cityjet as a Senior Technical Services Engineer, Contract Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for both line and Base Maintenance at various MRO's throughout Europe and started out his career with an Aircraft Technician apprenticeship with the Irish Air Corps.

Dave holds an EASA PART 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s licence and is type rated on the B737NG and Bae146 / AVRO RJ series aircraft.

After graduating, Jonathan started his career in 1995 as a support engineer on FA18 fatigue testing before moving into fatigue and damage tolerance of commercial and miliary turboprop nacelles for new designs. Then moving into trailing edge and aileron composite design for A380, A400M, B787 and A350 for OEM and tier one suppliers.

Since joining AMES in 2012, Jonathan has added design and certification of new interior products to his experience through the AMES Part21J & Part21G process. He works throughout the AMES group on various product developments through detailed knowledge of aircraft interiors & structures and assisting operators implement their cabin interior visons.

Jonathan is acting as Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) in the structures and cabin safety panel of the AMES Part21J organisation.
Jonathan currently also holds the role of Key Account Manager for major AMES customers in Europe and is supporting the sales department

Text Michael Thaller

- University degree in Industrial Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Mittweida, Germany

Stefan started his career as a designer in the automotive industry and developed into the role of engineering group leader for development programs to various car brands.
After working as a design contractor to AMES in several product development projects and finishing his studies in Industrial Engineering, Stefan permanently joined AMES back in 2013.

Nowadays Stefan holds the position of Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the production and associated production engineering. Thanks to his military leadership training in the Austrian Armed Forces, Stefan is capable of leading the AMES production team through all challenges. As an enthusiastic model builder and hobby pilot, he brings new approaches and perspectives to the design.

Richard joined AMES after graduating from University in 2007. He started his engineering career in the cabin safety and structures engineering team of AMES. In the following years Richard supported numerous cabin modification programs as a Design Engineer.
In 2009 Richard gained the Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) qualification and since 2014 Richard holds the position of the Chief of the Office of Airworthiness/Technical Director of the AMES Part21J Design Organisation.

Since becoming a member of the AMES family, Richard supported more than 300 projects in various roles, from design engineer to project lead and ranging from single product projects to entire fleet retrofit programs for 150+ aircraft.
